Hello! My name is Amy and I started Tails from Home because I love animals, and, with my level of experience in the veterinary field, I help pet owners stay satisfied knowing that their animals are in good care while they are away.

I've always had a special bond with animals and know how important patience and understanding is when around them. Becoming a registered veterinary technician was a natural career path for me to take and I've worked with pets in a professional setting for the past 10 years. I love pets of all shapes and sizes, from dogs and cats to pocket pets and reptiles.

As an RVT with experience in both general practice and emergency medicine, as well as pet CPR training, I've seen it all. Whether you have a young pet who needs lots of cuddles and play time, or a senior pet who needs a little extra TLC, you can rest assured that your pets are in good hands when I stay with them. I am comfortable with all ages and health conditions and always make sure your pets have what they need while you are away.

Whether you're getting ready to travel, or just away for the day, planning for your pets can be stressful.
At Tails from Home, you get the satisfaction of knowing that your pets will be loved, cared for and comfortable in their own environment while you are away.

I offer pet care services in your own home so that you can rest assured your loved ones are happy and stress-free while you're away.

OVERNIGHT PET SITTING

For overnight stays in your home while you are away.

A great option if your pets get stressed at the kennel and you want to keep their normal routine at home, including companionship, meal times, walks, etc.

DROP-IN VISITS

30 minute visits for meals, potty breaks, playtime, administering medications, or whatever else your pet may need while you're out.

Drop-in availability on evenings and weekends only

SHORT STAY
Dogs $45/night

Cats $40/night

EXTENDED STAY (6+ days)

Add'l $5/night

Additional pets $5/night each

Holiday rate +$15/night (only applies to the day of holiday)

Distance fee of $5/night applies to clients living 20+ minutes away from N6J 2N6

DROP-IN VISITS

$20 per 30 minute visit

WHAT TO EXPECT

When you book with Tails from Home...

After contacting me, and describing when and what type of care you require for your pets, the first thing we will do is plan a meet and greet for me to introduce myself to you and your pets at your home. This also gives you an opportunity to show me around your home and explain where food dishes, toys, litterbox, etc. are.

Once we decide we are a good client-sitter fit for each other, I will confirm the booking with you!

During my time with your pets, you will receive lots of photo and video updates to help show you how comfortable and happy they are. We can discuss your preferred method of correspondence while you're away, such as email, text, WhatsApp or another form of contact that allows photo and video updates.

I also do my best during stays to ensure that your home will be in the same state when you return that it was when you left. After all, no one wants to come home after time away to a messy house!

When you return home, all that's left to do is plan a time for me to drop off your keys if needed.

And that's it! I'm always available during stays for any questions or comments you may have as well.
